Wendy, Painter:
Abby
Wendy paints in a bright, bold style that is often colourful and
expressive.
Her
large and creative family are Ngai Tahu and their whakapapa includes
Irish, Scottish and English heritage. She lives in Kapiti, New
Zealand, with her son and two cats.
Abby
graduated from art school in 2008. She is passionate about human
rights & environmental justice; and her art has grown more
political as her activism increases.
Although
believing that roots and identity help to define you, Abby Wendy also
values the kinships and solidarity to be found as a global citizen.
